Carly getting ready to go on delivery
Join Carly in supporting the Lucky 14 Beach Walk/Bike-a-thon on April 19, 2009 in
Santa Monica, Ca.

The fundraiser is an annual event that raises much needed funds through donations
from people who sponsor walkers and riders. This is a fun day for everyone who joins
us on the Santa Monica bike path! All proceeds from the event will benefit
St. Vincent
Meals on Wheels
, which prepares over 4,300 life-saving meals and warm greetings
each day to homebound and hungry seniors and disabled or seriously ill adults across
Los Angeles. To find out how you can help Carly raise funds or for more information,

At almost 109 years of age,
Ms. Holly has seen two turns
of the century.
Ms. Carla Laemmle (above) shares her

she is credited with the first female
scream in a speaking horror film in
"Dracula" (1931) with Bela Lugosi.
Carla Laemmle (c. 1927)
Ms. Laemmle (born October 20, 1909) is an American actress and the
niece of Universal Pictures founder Carl Laemmle.
Born Rebecca Isabelle Laemmle in Chicago, Illinois, she entered films in
1925 playing an uncredited role as a ballet dancer in the original silent film
version of
The Phantom of the Opera and a very small role in the early
talkie version of
Dracula (1931), definitely the last surviving cast member of
the former, and probably the latter as well. She continued playing small
roles until the late 1930s. She briefly came out of retirement to play a
vampire in The Vampire Hunters Club (2001).
